-
Companions 2.0
- With the creation of statblocks, companion statblocks aren't a huge task, so
expect to see a companion tool soon.
- When we see a companion statblock/card design outside of the patreon/streams
expect a new tool to supercede this one.
-
Card Creators 2.0
- After companions I am likely to start magic item cards, as they are the
simpliest of the card tools.
- Spells, Mounts, & Hero Actions, will be developed (likely in that order) once we
have word on, or have seen some official renditions. For now, the older tools
follow the most recent design.
- For magic items I have also amassed a large amount of artwork (over 5000
images). My plan for this is I need to chop up some of the artwork elements and
this will become a magic item image creator too. All of the art is licensed, so
is usable alongside the Nimbrew User License.
-
Hero Creator 1.0
- I have a lot of background work put into this, but with how quick new heroic
content is added, and new game mechanics, it's too unreasonable to continue to
update until the release of Monsters & More.
- Work will likely continue on this once Monsters & More hits the printers.
BETA Update 1
18th July 2026
- Statblock 2.1
-
Nexus Import! — Implemented importing monsters from nimble.nexus!
- Append ?nexus={nexus-monster-id} to the url to load nexus monsters.
- Family detection. Nexus families are detected, and their abilities added to nimbrew statblock.
- Inline tags, i.e. "@monster:{id}, are supported across the statblock. Nimbrew auto replaces these.
- Big Thanks to byteslicer for their work on nimble.nexus. Support Them!
-
New inline icons — Damage types.
- Available in some text fields by typing [icon_name]
- Icons available:
[fire] | [ice] | [lightning] | [wind] | [radiant] | [necrotic]
- Issue: The icons have poor ledgibility so might be removed in future updates.
-
Bug Squash: — Clipboard is unable to paste from outside game.
- Issue: Due to incompatibility with ClipboardAPI, Firefox and Safari have unreliable pasting. This cannot be fixed as Firefox and Safari do not wish to implement missing ClipboardAPI features.
-
Items 2.0
- As mentioned before, the artwork amassed for the item creator has proven very fruitful.
- There are working demos in the Nimbrew post on Nimble's discord.
- Summary of functionality: Items are made of multiple texture parts which can be tinted individually. Most items have variants (similar textures). Others are completely modular, where each part can be changed individually. For instance Greathelms (Variant based) swap between similar types. Swords (Modular) can have blade, crossguard, and handle mixed and matched (and tinted).
